Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the National Attendance Program (NAP). You will ensure that FMLA, Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA), and tardiness are managed in accordance with the National Agreement, company policy, applicable regulations, company practices, and local contractual agreements.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of contract language related to attendance requirements and disciplinary actions.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of systems necessary to investigate employee attendance records.
- Create and publish daily progress/status updates for operations customers and UAW stakeholders.
- Conduct meetings and administer corrective actions as appropriate per NAP language.
- Audit attendance/tardiness timekeeping codes and correct/update employee records as needed.
- Follow up with operations customers to successfully close out and report open and closed attendance/tardiness items.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for line management on attendance policy interpretation.
- Maintain all required documentation related to FMLA administration.
- Lead the 10-day quit process.
- Act as a liaison between operations customers, UAW counterparts, the local medical department, and labor relations departments, building working relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve attendance processes.
- One or more years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in human resources and HR administration.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Ability to provide administrative support.
- Union experience is highly valued.
- The position requires working onsite 5 days a week.
The pay range for this position is $29.30 - $29.30/hr.
