Position: Director of Safety, Health & Environment

About Thejob

This positionwill be responsible for all aspects of Direct Lines Safety program, includingmanaging compliance and directing the development, deployment, and continuousimprovement of safety programs across Direct Lines operations. This positionwill be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal corporate policy andexternal regulatory requirements and initiatives.

What Youwill Do

  • Manage performance and accountability for Safetyfor all divisions.
  • Responsible for developing, promoting, andimplementing a proactive, positive safety culture - Actively promotes azero-injury culture across all employees and functions.
  • Develop, implement, and manage all safetyprograms and policies to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and localregulations (Assure compliance with internal and external requirements).
  • Reviews new designs, processes, and projects toidentify and eliminate EHS impacts.
  • Develop proposal Health & Safetyprequalification requirements.
  • Performance Management:
  • Track and evaluate leading and laggingindicators and collaborate with company executives, site leadership, andinsurance risk management services to develop and implement corrective measuresand provide expertise in the inspection, analysis, audit, and investigation ofour safety practices.
  • Compile, calculate and manage associated injurysafety statistics and complete OSHA and client requirements.
  • Manage reporting and investigation of allaccidents/incidents and assist with effective corrective measures.
  • Develop and lead company-wide multi-year safetystrategy to provide program direction for leadership and management.
  • Remains current with all applicable regulationsand company policies and implements appropriate programs to ensure compliance.
  • Assist Human Resources in driving worker'scompensation program, claims management and injury management.

What Youwill Need

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required(Occupational Safety. Health, Environment or Compliance or combination ofrelated certifications), Master's Degree preferred.
  • Must have minimum 15 years of experience inmanaging EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) or similar programs at thefacility and enterprise level - (Arch & Engineering environments).
  • Must have overall knowledge of OSHA and EPAregulations (10/30/500/510 OSHA certifications preferred).
  • Safety related licenses, certifications and/ormembership in EHS professional associations are required.
  • Occasional travel for office and site visits10-15%.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,including the ability to present information to a diverse audience.
  • Pro-active and critical thinking andproblem-solving skills, including a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functionsin a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Strong successful experience in working directlywith operations; with proven record of leading direct and indirect reports.

CBRE/Direct Line carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Logistics Manager position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Logistics Manager position is $90,000 annually [or $43.27 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
