Hardware Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a expert-level hardware board design engineer specializing in power design. This role focuses on board-level power design and power supplies, where you will be the lead. You will be responsible for layout, with support from a team of designers who will execute the actual layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of board-level power systems and power supplies.
• Oversee the layout process with the support of a design team.
• Work on the latest next-generation firewall products.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Cadence and Allegro.
• Expertise in DC power, hot swap, board design, and PCB layout.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience designing power-specific features for PCB.
• Experience with onboard power, hot swap, DC-DC, AC/DC, and network devices such as firewalls, routers, servers, and switches.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in AC-DC power design is a plus.
• Any automation experience is beneficial.
  
  

Work Environment

You will work onsite five days per week with a senior -level team. The schedule offers flexibility in arrival and departure times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
