Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts.
- Schedule and conduct routine forklift inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment servicing.
- Assist in the receiving, identification, staging, and dispatching of goods.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload containers and carry boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure all trailers placed in the dock are properly locked.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Organize and maintain inventory related to warehouse equipment and parts.
- Ensure accuracy in shipment handling and inventory transactions.
- Keep dock areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across warehouse operations.
- Proficient in operating stand-up, sit-down, and slip sheet forklifts.
- OSHA Forklift License/Certification required.
- Proven warehouse experience.
- Strong commitment to safety, organization, and task completion.
- Bilingual or Spanish-speaking preferred.
- Basic knowledge of import/export processes, including labeling and documentation.
- Understanding of warehouse equipment care and handling.
- Knowledge of ocean container loading/unloading at dock level.
