Job Summary/Purpose
The shared services organization has a need for an Accountant intern to join the Accounts Payable team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Use of PeopleSoft technology to perform daily Accounts Payable tasks. Including maintaining vendor master files
- Support and Conduct control testing in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley
- Develop improved financial processes, reports, and information.
- Understanding of IRS regulations to support the creation of 1099s and 1042s.
- Identify opportunities to re-engineer systems and processes to improve Accounts Payable and the end user experience
- Special projects to enhance and improve technology
- Seeking an individual pursuing a bachelors (Junior or Senior) or Master's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or similar program with strong analytical skills
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale).
