Responsibilities

Direct the implementation of all planning, design & construction projects. Ensure the efficiency, professionalism, and effectiveness of facilities design and construction in alignment with mission and strategy of the organization.

  • Oversee the development of project budgets, schedules and cash flow while ensuring compliance with allocated funding sources. Coordinate internal and external project audits.
  • Report risks, issues, and key metrics to leadership.
  • Define the contract parameters for each project within the standardized contract template and communicate expectations to direct reports and stakeholders.
  • Communicate and implement strategic initiatives in alignment with the organizations and customer priorities.
  • Drive business innovation, service strategies, continuous process improvement and achievement of construction projects through collaborative partnerships.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all regional external professional service and construction firms, including contract application review and ensuring that all service firms and managers meet conduct, safety, and operating procedure standards.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
  • Manager Certification specializing in Healthcare Facilities. Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) also accepted.
  • Project Mgmt Professional obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) accepted.

Education

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences

  • Healthcare preferred.
  • Construction preferred.
  • Project Management preferred.
  • Leadership of 5-10 years preferred.
