Responsibilities
- Operate LC instrumentation including conventional, MS, MS/MS, and HR-MS/MS (Orbitrap or TOF).
- Perform SPE (solid phase extraction) and other sample preparation techniques.
- Analyze and interpret data using Sciex OS, Analyst, Multiquant, Tracefinder, Chromeleon, or equivalent software.
- Perform extractions and sample analysis following documented methods and SOPs.
- Troubleshoot analytical procedures and perform routine and preventative maintenance, verification, and calibration of instrumentation.
- Compile and review QA/QC data to ensure ISO17025 compliance.
- Participate in analytical method development and optimization.
- Routinely screen, quantify, and report large-scale pesticide panels (>100 compounds/sample).
- Propose improvements and help stabilize analytical processes.
- Mentor junior chemists and contribute to SOP updates.
- Proficiency in liquid chromatography, LC-MS, and mass spectrometry.
- Experience in Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Waters, Sciex, and Agilent instrumentation.
- Ability in analytical method development and sample preparation.
- Strong quality assurance (QA/QC) skills.
- Skill in instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Effective team collaboration and communication abilities.
- Adaptability and prioritization skills.
- Mentoring and training experience.
