Responsibilities
Coordinates the scheduling of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic ancillary procedures through interviews by telephone or in person of patients and/or families or other representatives such as Physician office personnel to obtain necessary scheduling information. Records all the required information into the scheduling system computer. Maintains confidentiality as per hospital policy.

The compensation range for the role is $$25.79-$26.57 hourly
Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma with courses successfully completed in commercial studies or its equivalent; Course work in medical terminology is desirable.
Minimum Experience: Proficient in WordPerfect, Word, Windows and data entry desirable. Capable of using software packages. At least one year experience in a high volume office setting, preferably a medical office preferred. Has demonstrated in past experience a positive customer service focus.
Required Certification/Registration: N/A.
Physical Requirements: Work primarily sedentary with intermittent standing and walking. Physical movement such as reaching and bending is also required. Working Conditions: Works inside office facilities, in an open high volume reception area. Numerous activities may cause distractions to worker. Flexibility in schedule necessary including traveling to other sites as staffing and volume dictates.
