The Assistant Vice President IT Project Management Operations (PMO) is responsible for facilitating a team that is delivering on an IT program or set of complex IT projects. As the AVP IT PMO , you will define and prioritize program and project objectives, critical success factors, and deliverables.
The Assistant VP IT PMO Will
- Build and maintain relationships with project owners, business stakeholders, resource leaders, technical and business teams
- Create a shared focus on the importance of achieving results within the team
- Manage life cycle of projects with traditional software development and Agile principles for strategic projects that range in scope, budget and size, involving significant levels of risk and complexity
- Oversee business requirement gathering, system requirement creation, and documentation
- Apply elements of the project management discipline at a high level of rigor, appropriate to the program or project
- Identify critical-path decisions, make recommendations, and influence outcomes to ensure project advancement
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in IT, quality, product management, engineering, or operations
- 3 years of experience with large-scale project management phases, techniques and tools
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio, and multi-tier application development (user interfaces, application, database)
