Role: NOC / Service Management Analyst
Location: Richardson, TX - Onsite
The NOC Analyst monitors network and system health, manages incidents, and ensures timely communication during outages. Acts as a bridge between monitoring teams and technical support to maintain service continuity.
Qualifications:
- 0 2 years in NOC / IT support / operations (entry-level OK)
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.)
- Familiarity with ITIL and incident management
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
Preferred:
- Experience in enterprise/NOC environments
- Datadog & ServiceNow hands-on experience
- ITIL certification (v3/v4)
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- CompTIA Network / Security
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network/system performance and detect issues proactively
- Triage, escalate, and manage incidents based on severity
- Act as Incident Manager during major outages and bridge calls
- Document incidents in ServiceNow and maintain KB articles
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for faster resolution
- Ensure SLA adherence and provide timely status updates
- Support alert tuning, monitoring onboarding, and reporting
- Participate in 24x7 shift and on-call rotation
