Duties
The person in this position will perform varied professional administrative functions. Essential duties and functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires stooping and bending; lifting of library materials up to 20 pounds. Must be able to move freely throughout the library to file/retrieve library materials. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
One (1) year of administrative experience is required. Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

- Drafts correspondence, loan correspondence with collectors and artists, related programming, maintaining exhibition schedules, budgeting, and special projects.
- Provides assistance to HPL Curator including compiling information and data.
- Assists with research, planning, and organization of exhibitions.
- Write, edit, and assist in the production of exhibition-related materials, including gallery guides and extended object labels.
- Assists with light preparatory work and installation and de-installation of exhibitions in the Julia Ideson Building, the Gregory Campus, and various neighborhood libraries.
- Assists with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Performs other duties as necessary to support the curator.
- May require occasional Saturdays or evenings for programs, tours, or receptions.
