Accounts Payable Manager

Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the company's accounts payable function to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role requires a strong focus on process improvement, automation, and standardization, while providing leadership to the AP team and supporting the overall financial health of Million Air.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Accounts Payable department, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop AP team members to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Enhance automation within the AP function to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance across all AP activities.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of accounts payable software solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Conduct data cleanup and standardization efforts to improve reporting accuracy and system performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track AP efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports, analysis, and recommendations for management to support decision-making.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting principles.
- Proven experience implementing automation tools, financial systems, or ERP platforms.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in the aviation, FBO, or related industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and AP automation platforms.
- Project management experience in process improvement or software implementation.
