This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices, employee payroll, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. As an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization while contributing to a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments while maintaining accurate records in the accounting system.
- Review and reconcile employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
- Manage the full payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in payroll and accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing reports and reconciliations.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and employees regarding payments and payroll matters.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll processing in a fast-paced environment, preferably in property management or real estate.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations related to accounts payable and payroll.
- Proficient in using accounting software and payroll systems; experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
