The Technology Vendors Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing, supplier engagement, and procurement operations across key technology commodities—including GPUs, NIC/RAID, switches, memory, storage, and emerging AI/accelerator solutions.

This role ensures competitive cost structures, supply continuity, strong vendor performance, and alignment with business objectives across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Finance. You will support global procurement strategies and play an integral role in supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and contract execution across major technology partners such as NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, and others.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supplier Management & Negotiation

  • Manage day-to-day supplier engagement for assigned technology components (GPU, NIC/RAID, networking, storage, etc.).
  • Lead price negotiations, quarterly business reviews, and contract discussions.
  • Support LTA (Long-Term Agreement) setup and maintenance to ensure accurate pricing and compliance.
  • Track supplier performance, capacity, lead times, and risk indicators.

2. Cost Management & Analytics

  • Conduct cost analysis, cost modeling, and benchmark studies (including teardown data and commodity pricing trends).
  • Monitor industry movements (e.g., DDR trends, market share shifts) to support negotiation strategies.
  • Maintain and update cost-savings trackers, rebate files, and forecast impacts (e.g., GPU LVR/WCC programs).

3. Procurement Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, PMO, Finance, and Supply Chain to support roadmap alignment.
  • Manage PR/PO operations, supplier onboarding, and qualification processes.
  • Coordinate on quality issues, ECO transitions, and supply continuity requirements.

4. Contracting & Documentation

  • Support contract lifecycle activities: SOWs, pricing tables, forecast commitments, change logs.
  • Ensure procurement records are complete and audit-ready.
  • Assist with BI dashboards and reporting packages for leadership.

5. Risk Management

  • Identify cost, supply, and compliance risks across the commodity lifecycle.
  • Develop mitigation actions such as dual sourcing, buffer planning, or supplier diversification.
  • Monitor geopolitical or market events that may impact supply continuity.

6. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Strategy Support

  • Contribute to category strategy development and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Analyze supplier competitiveness, cost structures, and new-technology options.
  • Support portfolio optimization and supplier consolidation activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field (Master’s a plus).
  • 3–7 years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably within technology/semiconductor/electronics industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with major tech suppliers is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of BOM structures, hardware components, and technology supply chain dynamics.
  • Advanced Excel; familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills in a global, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • High ownership and accountability.
  • Strong business judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently.
  • High integrity and commitment to compliance.
  • Collaborative mindset with global teamwork orientation.
