Responsibilities
The Middle Office team manages key operational processes across the trade lifecycle including: Trade Capture, Matching, Settlement, Accounting Integration, Pricing and Corporate Action processing. A Middle Office Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting daily client trade activity across a wide range of asset types including listed equities, fixed income, and derivative instruments. Key responsibilities may consist of:

Responsibilities
The Middle Office team manages key operational processes across the trade lifecycle including: Trade Capture, Matching, Settlement, Accounting Integration, Pricing and Corporate Action processing. A Middle Office Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting daily client trade activity across a wide range of asset types including listed equities, fixed income, and derivative instruments. Key responsibilities may consist of:
- Perform time-critical functions daily, which require gathering and verifying information from various sources in a fast-paced and high volume environment.
- Ensure daily reporting provided to relevant Oversight teams accurately reflects trade data and provides sufficient commentary.
- Work closely with multiple external and internal parties to identify and resolve transaction discrepancies, including unmatched and failed trades, pricing discrepancies, dividend/coupon variation, foreign exchange and derivatives contracts, account overdrafts, and bank wires.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting for internal and external clients. Assist clients with any follow-up questions that may arise.
- Research and resolve a variety of issues that may be complex in nature.
- Ongoing review of existing processes to identify potential improvements to create new efficiencies and increase quality and controls.
- Work on holidays may be required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 1 - 3 years related financial industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and drive solutions
- Strong interest and willingness to learn in the financial services industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Track record of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify and prioritize tasks appropriately
- Working knowledge of various security types; equity, debt, private instruments, derivatives, etc.
- 40 ACT mutual fund experience (back or middle office operations preferred)
- Experience with SWIFT messaging formats
- Proven ability to maintain a customer service focused attitude in a high pressure environment
- Ability to work independently within established guidelines and strict operational controls
