Location: Charlotte, NC (onsite Monday and Wednesdays every other week)
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Max Pay Rate: $35hr W2 (No Benefits)
Role Summary
The technician will remotely set up, configure, and support network environments used across retail and enterprise locations. The role requires strict adherence to PCI standards and regular coordination with Cyber Security, Delivery teams, ISPs, POS vendors, and other technical groups. Work centers on Cisco Meraki environments and requires clear documentation, timely escalations, and consistent customer communication. The technician is expected to take full ownership of support cases.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support through phone, chat, portal, and remote tools.
- Troubleshoot WAN/LAN/ISP issues, wireless networks, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
- Validate and support PCI-compliant network designs.
- Review and troubleshoot network security configurations.
- Work with internal teams, vendors, and field techs to install and maintain business-class internet services.
- Support compliance activities, including audits and remediation steps.
- Deliver dependable customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- 5 years of remote troubleshooting experience in large, distributed LAN/WAN environments.
- 5 years networking experience with strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, OSI, and related concepts.
- CCNA or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS and retail network requirements.
- Expertise with VPN technologies, internet connectivity, and remote support tools.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Zendesk or equivalents.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent follow-through on issues.
