What You’ll Do Day to Day:
Responsible for day-to-day monitoring of and reporting on the financial environment, competitive market, and LendingPoint’s position within the personal lending space. Works closely with LendingPoint analysts and executives to deliver high quality outcomes through the application of critical thinking skills applied to data to inform strategy. Helps deliver business initiatives with strong emphasis on visualization of the information presented.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Utilize a variety of programs and platforms (i.e. Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, etc.) for speed and efficiency in responding to requests for analytics from senior management.
- Conduct moderate to complex data profiling and analysis to evaluate data sources to determine the best source for business information.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Analyze and prepare complex data for analysis.
- Identify and champion new initiatives aimed at delivering value to business stakeholders.
- Find opportunities for streamlining and automation of business processes that provide insights and business information to clients.
- Partner with subject matter experts, architects, and engineers to capture and analyze business needs to lead the creation of all data modeling related artifacts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Math, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline from an accredited university.
- 2 years’ experience in Data Analysis or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years’ experience using Tableau.
- 2 years’ proficiency with SimilarWeb.com and other related websites.
- 2 years’ experience with Python or R Programming languages.
- Highly proficient with SQL / MySQL (GCP a plus but not required)
- Knowledge of advanced statistical modeling, testing, data mining, ETL, and data science techniques.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint a must.
