About The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Creative Director to lead our in-house creative studio, overseeing a team of writers and designers to deliver high-impact, brand-forward, and performance-driven creative.
This role helps define the creative vision, shapes how our brand shows up, from breakthrough campaigns to high-velocity performance creative, while building a modern, scalable, AI driven creative workflow and operation.

The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level.
Time Zone Requirements
Primarily PT
While the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed.
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 180,000-210,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Creative Director to lead our in-house creative studio, overseeing a team of writers and designers to deliver high-impact, brand-forward, and performance-driven creative.
This role helps define the creative vision, shapes how our brand shows up, from breakthrough campaigns to high-velocity performance creative, while building a modern, scalable, AI driven creative workflow and operation.
What You'll Do
Creative Leadership
- Lead the creative vision and strategy across branded content and performance marketing channels
- Deliver compelling, cross channel campaign creative that drives conversion and delivers on business goals
- Ensure all creative output aligns with brand standards while evolving the brand in a competitive fintech landscape
- Oversee the end-to-end internal creative process from concept through execution and optimization
- Present and advocate for creative concepts to senior stakeholders
- Partner closely with Creative Strategy and Channel Marketing teams to develop creatives that deliver on strategic asks to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Establish scalable frameworks to deliver on a high volume of creative testing and iteration, leveraging AI tools and driving a culture of harnessing AI with the team
- Balance short-term performance goals with long-term brand equity
- Use data and insights to continuously refine messaging, formats, and channels
- Identify and implement AI tools and workflows to scale creative production and ideation
- Develop systems that increase output and productivity without sacrificing quality or brand consistency
- Stay ahead of trends in creative automation, generative AI, and content production
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of copywriters and graphic designers
- Manage creative capacity, prioritization, and workflows in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Build a culture of high standards, speed, and experimentation
About You
- 10 years of experience in creative roles, with team leadership experience
- Proven experience in fintech, or banking highly preferred
- Strong portfolio demonstrating performance marketing and branded campaigns creative that drove results
- Experience leading in-house or agency creative teams in fast-paced environments preferred
- Expertise in storytelling and messaging that translates insights into high-performing creative and content that drives issuance, increases conversion, and reinforces brand voice
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to optimize creative workflows, reduce turnaround time, and scale content production without compromising quality
- Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations in financial services
- Deep understanding of digital channels (paid social, display, lifecycle, web, video)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent work experience
