Duties

- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and clinical best practices
- Offer crisis intervention services to stabilize patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies
- Facilitate inpatient and outpatient therapy sessions across hospital, clinic, or telehealth settings
- Administer psychological testing and behavioral assessments to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of patient information
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical staff, educators, and caregivers to optimize patient care
- Supervise junior staff or interns as needed, providing guidance on clinical procedures and ethical standards
- Engage in ongoing research to stay current with advancements in mental health treatments and diagnostic tools
Skills
- Extensive experience in child & family counseling, working with children and individuals with autism or disabilities
- Proven ability in crisis intervention, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and working with geriatrics or pediatrics populations
- Strong background in clinical counseling techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, and group therapy
- Skilled in patient assessment, intake procedures, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluation processes
- Familiarity with medical records management and compliance with HIPAA standards for patient privacy
- Experience delivering telehealth services effectively across various platforms
- Knowledge of social work principles applied within mental health contexts
- Ability to handle inpatient and outpatient settings confidently while managing complex cases involving behavioral health issues
- Excellent communication skills for engaging patients of all ages in individual or group counseling sessions
