Essential Functions Of The Job
Skills and aptitude required:
- Maintain communication with and support the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Director.
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and service quality meet Lenbrook standards.
- Oversee the safe and proper cleanup of bodily fluids from pets and humans.
- Inspect common areas and resident spaces regularly; address deficiencies promptly.
- Train, support, and monitor housekeeping staff to maintain consistent performance and professionalism.
- Coordinate service requests and appointments through communication with the call center.
- Complete daily opening and closing procedures, including required checklists.
- Serve as Manager on Duty when the Housekeeping Manager or Director is unavailable.
- Ensure all housekeeping supplies and equipment are used and maintained properly.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and staff to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and report issues or needs to the Housekeeping Manager or Director.
- Manage time and attendance for direct reports, including monitoring time sheets, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll submissions.
- Handle resident complaints according to Lenbrook’s policies and procedures.
- Always adhere to Lenbrook rules and dress code.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and aptitude required:
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate staff while ensuring accountability.
- Strong focus on residents and guests’ satisfaction with excellent communication skills.
- Ensures cleanliness, safety, and service standards are consistently met.
- Manage schedules, checklists, and daily operations efficiently.
- Responds quickly to issues and adapts to changing needs or priorities.
- Works well across departments to maintain seamless service delivery.
- Basic understanding of safety, sanitation, and compliance standards (OSHA, HACCP).
- Knowledge in floor care (LVT, MARBLE, and CARPETING)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more per shift).
- Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 25–50 pounds (e.g., supplies, trays, equipment).
- Comfortable working in environments that may be warm, humid, or involve strong cleaning agent.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a fire extinguisher.
- 2 years of experience in housekeeping or custodial services.
- 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Experience in hotels, resorts, hospitals, or institutional housekeeping.
- Proven experience in training staff, managing schedules, and handling inventory.
