Based at the Bright Path Center, you'll provide immediate intervention, conduct comprehensive assessments, and help clients and their loved ones navigate a path toward stability and recovery. As part of Lenape Valley Foundation's expanding continuum of services, including Substance Use Disorder and Withdrawal Management programs, you'll play a vital role in delivering life-changing care within an innovative and growing behavioral health system.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related human services field; or current Registered Nurse licensure. 
  • Minimum of two years of human services experience, including at least one year providing direct mental health care
    • Preferred: One or more years of experience in a drug and alcohol treatment setting.
  • Experience conducting ASAM Level of Care Assessments strongly preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems. 
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.


 Your Role

  • Respond to and monitor a 24-hour crisis call center serving individiduals in behavioral health emergencies
  • Provide crisis triage, intervention, counseling, information and referrals
  • Conduct face-to-face behavioral health and level-of-care assessments. 
  • Develop immediate stabilization and crisis response plans with clients and families.
  • Coordinate emergency psychiatric evaluations and involuntary commitment applications when clinically appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with community providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and support systems to ensure continuity of care.
