Len Busch Roses is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Loading Team Lead to oversee our evening/night order fulfillment and outbound loading operations. This role is ideal for a strong frontline leader who can drive execution, hold teams accountable, coach for performance, and ensure customer deliveries leave accurately and on time.
This is not a desk role—this is a working leadership position where you’ll be actively leading from the floor in a high-volume warehouse environment.
What you'll do:
As the Warehouse & Loading Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading second/third shift outbound operations, including order picking, packing, truck loading, labor execution, and team performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead daily warehouse/order fulfillment operations including picking, packing, staging, and truck loading
- Execute the nightly labor plan and make real-time staffing adjustments based on workload, volume, and operational priorities
- Drive team productivity, efficiency, and on-time completion of outbound shipments
- Coach, train, and hold team members accountable to standardized work, safety expectations, and productivity goals
- Monitor order accuracy, product quality, and loading execution to ensure exceptional customer service
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations teams to resolve issues quickly and minimize service disruptions
- Support onboarding and development of new employees in partnership with mentors and supervisors
- Promote labor sharing, cross-training, and operational flexibility to meet changing business demands
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, urgency, and continuous improvement
- Lead by example as a visible, engaged floor leader
- This role requires the ability to perform a variety of physical tasks in changing work environments, including both hot and cold conditions. Truck loading takes place on a dock where temperatures may vary depending on outdoor weather conditions.

Pay Range: $23.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Shift Schedule Overview
This is a full-time, 2nd shift position with seasonal variations. Flexibility is essential during peak periods.
- Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 5pm-3AM , Occasional Tuesdays
- EOD = "End of Day" (whenever the shift is completed)

Holidays & Overtime:
During major floral holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day), you should expect:
- 10–12 hour shifts
- Overtime
- Occasional Friday/Saturday shifts
- Holiday work as required by business needs
Skills and Experience Preferred
- 2 years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, shipping, manufacturing, or order fulfillment
- Proven ability to drive productivity and manage teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Experience with truck loading, outbound shipping, warehouse workflows, or distribution operations strongly preferred
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to adjust quickly when priorities shift
- Experience with labor planning, staffing coordination, and performance coaching
- Strong communication skills; ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Lean, continuous improvement, or process discipline experience is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a physically active leadership role requiring significant time on your feet and direct involvement in operations.
You must be able to:
- Stand/walk for extended periods (8 hours)
- Lift, move, push, and pull products throughout the shift
- Work in varying temperatures, including:
- Refrigerated warehouse/cold room environments (40–50°F)
- Loading dock areas impacted by outdoor weather conditions
