Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and restroom sanitation to uphold hygiene standards.
- Carry out specialized floor care procedures including stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality.
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep to support operational efficiency.
- Support industrial cleaning projects by using appropriate tools and techniques to handle large-scale or heavy-duty cleaning needs.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure continuous facility operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work within commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, sealing) and use of custodial equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to industrial cleaning and facility maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
