Job Overview
Dorswood is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and professional Commercial Cleaner to provide high-quality cleaning services for our commercial clients. The Commercial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, organized, and presentable facilities while following Dorswood's cleaning standards and each client's specific service requirements.

This position requires reliability, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to complete assigned cleaning responsibilities efficiently and consistently.

Duties

• Perform customized cleaning services according to each client's needs, facility requirements, and assigned cleaning checklist.
• Clean and sanitize offices, common areas, break rooms, restrooms, hallways, entryways, and other designated spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors as required.
• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, desks, counters, ledges, and other approved surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and designated high-traffic areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, and fixtures.
• Restock approved restroom and facility supplies when required.
• Clean interior glass, doors, and other designated surfaces.
• Follow client-specific instructions and special cleaning requests within the assigned scope of work.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning products, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all Dorswood safety procedures and product-use instructions.
• Report damaged property, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, low supplies, or unusual conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Secure assigned areas and follow client access, key, alarm, and building-security procedures.
• Complete assigned work thoroughly and within the scheduled service period.
• Maintain professional and respectful conduct while working at client locations.Experience
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and other custodial tools.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures related to chemical handling and heavy lifting practices.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocol guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform routine cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep roles is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow assigned schedules.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cleaning team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Professional attitude and respectful communication with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to safely use standard commercial cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working inside client facilities.
• Ability to pass a thorough background check
