Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance / Warehouse Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized distribution center. This role supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of warehouse departments, aisles, docks, and staging areas
- Collect and remove trash, cardboard, pallets, shrink wrap, and debris
- Break down and transport recyclable materials to designated areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the facility
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and common areas
- Respond promptly to spills and cleanup requests
- Operate balers, compactors, and waste-handling equipment safely
- Keep aisles, fire exits, and safety zones clear and compliant
- Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant work experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Stand and walk for extended periods (7 hours per day)
- Ability to reach, bend, climb ladders, and navigate warehouse environments
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally
Work Environment
- Fast-paced warehouse/distribution center
- Exposure to varying temperatures and operational equipment
