We specialize in structured cabling, access control, security cameras, AV, and wireless networks. We are expanding into commercial fire alarm installation and are seeking a NICET Level III Certified Fire Alarm Technician to lead this division.
Position Overview
We are hiring a NICET Level III Fire Alarm Technician to serve as our Certified Fire Alarm Certificate Holder for the State of Alabama. This role will lead system design oversight, code compliance, inspections, and installation of commercial fire alarm systems.
This is a high-impact leadership role with growth potential as LEK builds out its fire alarm division.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as LEK’s NICET Level III Certificate Holder for Alabama Fire Alarm licensing
- Oversee commercial fire alarm system design & installation
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, IBC, and local AHJ requirements
- Supervise technicians and subcontractors
- Perform system commissioning, testing, and final inspections
- Interface with fire marshals, inspectors, and general contractors
- Maintain documentation, as-builts, and testing reports
- Assist in estimating and project planning
- Train junior technicians toward NICET Level II/III
Required Qualifications
- Active NICET Level III Certification – Fire Alarm Systems (Required)
- 5 years commercial fire alarm experience
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 & building codes
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to pass background check
- Strong leadership and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in schools, healthcare, and government facilities
- Programming experience with major fire alarm brands (Notifier, Honeywell, EST, Silent Knight, Siemens, Bosch, etc.)
