We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HR/Safety Manager to oversee our human resource operations and lead our safety initiatives. In this dual role, you will be the driving force behind our talent strategy, legal compliance, and the continuous development of a secure, positive, and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & Talent Management
- Recruitment & Hiring: Partner collaboratively with management to identify staffing needs, source candidates, and execute hiring and talent management strategies.
- Onboarding & Employee Relations: Lead the onboarding experience for new hires, and actively cultivate a positive, inclusive, and engaging working environment.
- Conflict Resolution: Bridge management and employee relations by directly addressing demands, grievances, and complaints.
- Program Administration: Collaborate on the administration of HR programs, including employee benefits, leave management, and disciplinary matters.
- Compliance & Policy: Monitor and ensure absolute compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Offboarding: Advise management and ensure all disciplinary actions and terminations strictly follow company policy and legal standards.
Safety & Risk Management
- Policy Enforcement: Develop, implement, and rigorously enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Safety Training: Design and deliver comprehensive safety training and procedures for all company employees.
- Inspections & Maintenance: Perform regular safety inspections at all company locations and collaborate with management and maintenance teams to eliminate hazards.
- Workers' Comp Management: Oversee the documentation and management of all work-related injuries and worker’s compensation cases.
- Industry Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and legal updates regarding HR and safety best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience working in a dual HR and Safety role, or extensive experience in one field with a strong working knowledge of the other (Manufacturing environment preferred).
- Bilingual: must be fluent in both English and Spanish in order to effectively communicate with all employees and new hires.
- Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO) and safety regulations (OSHA).
- Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work hand-in-hand with department managers, maintenance teams, and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to risk management and workplace safety.
