Leidos is seeking a talented CNC Mill Turn / Lathe Machinist 1st shift to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Primary Responsibilities
- TheCNC Mill / Lathe Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts.
- Candidate should also have experience in setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
- Experience in the manufacturing of large aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus.
- 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.
- Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds unassisted.
- Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.
- Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift, 1st shift.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.
- 5 axis machining experience with Siemens and or Fanuc controls.
- (2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
- SURFCAM, Edgecam or Catia experience.
- Experience machining in a prototype environment.
- Mori Seiki on screen programming with Celos controls a plus.
