Position Summary The Sales and Operations Manager supports the Sales and Operations Planning function by assisting with demand planning, inventory coordination, reporting, and cross-functional communication between Leica Camera USA and Global Headquarters. This is a developmental role designed for candidates early in their operations or supply-chain career or other related corporate function who are eager to build strong planning fundamentals, learn how global organizations operate, and grow into broader responsibility over time. Success in this role comes from curiosity, structure, reliability, and the ability to communicate clearly, especially when navigating constraints and competing priorities. - Support communication between Leica Camera USA and Global Headquarters on planning, availability, and execution topics.
- Prepare data, summaries, and documentation for recurring HQ and internal meetings.
- Help translate global guidance into clear, operational inputs for U.S. teams. Inventory and Allocation Support
- Assist with inventory tracking, allocation updates, and availability reporting across U.S. channels.
- Maintain data accuracy related to inbound supply, inventory levels, and allocations.
- Support cross-functional partners (sales, marketing, retail) with product availability insights. Demand Planning and Reporting
- Help maintain forecasts, planning files, and scenario analyses using historical data and inputs from stakeholders.
- Monitor key metrics such as inventory turns, sell-through, and service levels.
- Flag risks, inconsistencies, or data gaps and escalate appropriately. Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for operational questions related to inventory and planning.
- Communicate updates clearly and professionally, especially during constrained supply situations.
- Build trust through follow-through, transparency, and consistency. Process and Tool Improvement
- Support continuous improvement of planning templates, reports, and workflows.
- Learn and apply best practices in Sales and Operations, demand planning, and sales operations.
- Contribute ideas for improving clarity, efficiency, and collaboration. Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant professional experience or demonstrated capability is valued equally.
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, planning, analytics, OR a related business function (internships or entry-level roles acceptable).
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
- Exposure to ERP systems or planning tools is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working with data and translating numbers into clear insights.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
