Job Summary
The Cost & Inventory Control Accountant is responsible for supporting manufacturing accounting, inventory control, product costing, inventory valuation, ERP transaction processing, and financial reporting activities for dairy and ice cream production operations. This position works closely with production, warehousing, purchasing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure inventory accuracy, maintain cost integrity, support financial reporting, and provide meaningful analysis to improve operational and financial performance. The role serves as a key link between operational inventory activities and accounting functions while maintaining accurate records within the ERP system.

Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms.

- Proven ability in data collection, spreadsheet management, Excel data analysis, and business intelligence tools for comprehensive financial reporting.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements and internal control procedures within a manufacturing or corporate setting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost analysis, cash flow analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
- Experience in public accounting or corporate finance roles emphasizing technical accounting expertise within manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of debits & credits, general ledger accounting, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account analysis.
- Effective communication skills for interpreting complex financial reports clearly and accurately to diverse audiences.
