Lehigh Valley Plastics is a leading manufacturer of precision plastic components and engineered solutions. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving and storing materials, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to production areas to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, supplies, and finished goods for accuracy and quality.
· Verify quantities received, update inventory records within the ERP system, and complete all required documentation.
· Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability in accordance with company procedures.
· Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on work orders and production schedules.
· Return, restock, and organize inventory materials while ensuring proper traceability and recordkeeping.
· Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
· Assist with inventory organization, consolidation, and warehouse optimization.
· Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Qualifications
· Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
· Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
· Experience with inventory management systems; knowledge of Visual ERP is preferred.
· Understanding of purchase orders, shipping documents, product codes, and barcode labeling.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
· Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, production teams, delivery drivers, and suppliers.
· Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
· Ability to push and pull heavy pallet loads.
· Ability to stand, walk, and work on shipping docks and warehouse floors for the duration of the shift.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
