The primary role is to develop specialized behavioral interventions using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) in order to address challenging behaviors. As well as support the acquisition and maintenance of adaptive life skills; ultimately increasing the individuals’ self-sufficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide 1:1 services to individuals
- Completing a Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA) and developing an individualized Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) within 30 days.
- Assisting individuals with developing adaptive behaviors that replace or modify challenging behaviors that are disruptive or destructive.
- Develop and promote consistent implementation of Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) and Crisis Intervention Plan (CIP).
- Provide coaching and assistance to Direct Support Professionals to implement interventions stated in the BSP.
- Complete necessary training based on the Individuals needs
- Maintain and update the FBA, BSP, AND CIP as needed.
- Submit accurate and complete weekly online progress notes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Complete training in conducting and using a Functional Behavior Assessment and in positive behavioral support.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks, with the flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities as they occur.
- This position requires transportation to community sites.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint) and HRIS database systems.
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and Automotive insurance
- FBI fingerprint, PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, Drug Screen, Physical
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited college with a Master’s degree.
