Part-Time Middle School Librarian

Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School (LVA) is seeking a student-centered Part-Time Middle School Librarian to support literacy, research skills, digital citizenship, and reading for students in grades 6, 7, and 8.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about middle-grade literature, innovative library programming, and empowering students to become confident, critical, and responsible readers and researchers.
Position Overview
The Middle School Librarian plays an essential role in promoting reading, supporting literacy instruction, and teaching information and digital literacy. This position also collaborates closely with teachers, administration, and the K–12 library team to ensure the library collection and programming align with LVA’s academic mission and IB framework.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Library Science, English, or related field
- Strong knowledge of middle-grade and young adult literature
- Experience working with adolescents
- Ability to integrate digital resources and teach responsible digital citizenship
Preferred:
- PA Library Science Certification
- School-based library experience
- Experience with research instruction or literacy intervention
- Familiarity with IB or inquiry-based learning
- Experience curating inclusive library collections
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $34,800.00 - $36,450.00 per year
