Job Summary
The Process Engineer assists in developing the engineering requirements associated with new products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to develop and influence customers and apply LHF products and services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation for the Company. In addition , the position participates and has input into the manufacture and manufacturing planning, and technical development of products as appropriate. This is a growth oriented position. Mastering of listed Essential Functions is necessary to successfully execute Ultimate Core Job Functions
Essential Functions
- Analyze customer FGQs to establish product and service cost estimates for subsequent sales quotations.
- Present cost and process estimates to the Sales Group.
- Regularly visits production areas and collaborates with technical and operational colleagues.
- Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.
- Participate in other special projects for the department.
- Research customer needs and develop application of products and services.
- Participates in development of new products, modification of existing products and termination of ineffective products.
- Develops manufacturing methods and procedures to enable the manufacture of new and existing products.
- Manages technical aspects of committees and working groups.
- Participate in and/or lead projects and work teams.
Experience
- A 4 year bachelor's (BS) Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the forging, foundry, heat treatment, etc, and/or machining industries.
