Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Auditor to join the Electrical Infrastructure Division in West Hartford, CT. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing specifications through in-process and finished goods audits. The Quality Auditor serves as a key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying quality concerns, driving corrective actions, and partnering with Production, Engineering, and Suppliers to maintain the highest levels of product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

What Will You Do?

• Perform detailed quality audits throughout production processes and on finished products to ensure compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, FDA regulations, and other applicable standards.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement equipment including height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other measuring instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product conformance.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials, components, and processes, ensuring proper containment and resolution.
• Collect, analyze, and report quality data including inspection results, audit findings, and nonconformance trends.
• Work closely with production personnel to implement corrective and preventive actions resulting from audit findings.
• Maintain accurate records including inspection reports, audit documentation, calibration records, and quality metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance manufacturing and quality processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering to investigate and resolve product quality concerns and improve product performance.
• Collaborate with Suppliers to address supplier quality issues and support corrective action activities.
• Communicate product quality concerns, audit results, and compliance requirements effectively across departments.
• Adhere to company policies, quality procedures, safety requirements, and best practices while promoting a culture of quality excellence.
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, or related technical field preferred.
  
  

Experience

• 1 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Manufacturing Quality preferred.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, or similar quality systems highly desirable
  
  

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

• Strong knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Proficiency in the use of precision measurement equipment including CMMs, height gauges, vision systems, calipers, micrometers, and related inspection tools.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing practices, inspection techniques, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Ability to perform accurate dimensional inspections and verify compliance with engineering specifications.
• Experience maintaining calibration records and understanding measurement system fundamentals.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret quality data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Supplier organizations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to prepare and communicate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and quality-related documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely within a manufacturing environment.
