Key Responsibilities
- Supervise banquet servers and coordinate service activities.
- Consult with the Banquet Manager on staffing needs, service arrangements, and equipment requirements.
- Meet with the Chef on Duty before each shift to review banquet event orders, menu items, and timing expectations.
- Greet clients prior to event start to review event details and itineraries.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to ensure exceptional service.
- Lead pre‑shift lineups, review menus, check uniform standards, and conduct brief training topics.
- Prepare detailed Captain’s Reports after each event.
- Monitor alcoholic beverage service in compliance with company policies.
- Inspect event spaces prior to guest arrival to ensure cleanliness and ambiance.
- Ensure accurate food presentation and garnishing.
- Maintain orderliness in both front‑ and back‑of‑house areas.
- Oversee staff closing duties and provide performance feedback to management.
- Complete required paperwork and closing responsibilities.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least one year of experience as a banquet server or banquet captain.
- Food Handler’s and Alcohol Awareness Certificates preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions. ]
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs for up to 10 minutes.
- Frequent reaching, standing, walking, and stooping.
- Work may occur indoors or outdoors depending on event needs.
