The On-Call Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during banquet events, meetings, weddings, social gatherings, and special functions. Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for banquet events in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding guest service in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Set up and break down banquet bars before and after events.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all bar areas and equipment.
- Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local and state laws.
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and banquet consumption records when applicable.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Work closely with banquet captains, servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure successful event execution.
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and beverage control policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional banquet responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in banquet, hotel, restaurant, or event settings.
- Knowledge of standard drink recipes, bar operations, and beverage presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol in accordance with state law.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events.
- TIPS, ABLE, or other alcohol service certification preferred or required based on local regulations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout banquet and storage areas.
