- Be responsible for preparing menu items as directed by the recipes provided by theSous Chef and /or Executive Chef.
- Prepare and produce menu items to standards in a quick and efficient manner.
- Be responsible for quality and proportion size.
- Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meets company standards.
- Practice proper food handling.
- Practice proper knife handling skills.
- Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
- Keep workstations clean during service time.
- Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables.
- Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained.
- Perform all duties to company standards and policies.
- Properly wrap, label, date and store all food items in their proper areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have 2 to 5 years in a fast-paced kitchen, planning and preparing.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
