About the Role: We are seeking a Sewer Sales Advisor to work directly with homeowners, property managers, and realtors to diagnose sewer problems and present repair solutions.
This role supports excavated sewer repairs and rehabilitative installs, including CIPP lining, pipe patching, and wye liner installation, with a strong focus on educating customers and recommending the right long-term fix. This position requires a consultative approach focuses on accurately diagnosing problems, educating customers, and recommending the right long-term solution. This is a field-based sales role suited for someone comfortable performing technical inspections, communicating clearly with homeowners, and closing high-value projects.
Strong attention to detail is critical in this role. Estimates must be consistently accurate and executable by field crews. Candidates will be provided 2-3 weeks of initial training. After initial training, candidates must be comfortable working independently in the field and making sound technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Ouverson Sewer & Water professionally in customers’ homes
- Meet customers on-site to conduct inspections and educate them on their sewer system
- Accurately diagnose sewer failures
- Help customers understand repair scope, timeline, restoration, and cost
- Prepare accurate estimates and projects within scope of capabilities
- Present repair recommendations and options clearly and professionally
- Follow up on open estimates to ensure customers' sewer problems are resolved
- Coordinate closely with field crews to ensure jobs are accurate and executable
- Maintain detailed notes, pricing, and job status in CRM or job management system
- Conduct outbound follow-up with drain cleaning referral customers
Required Qualifications:
- High integrity, accountability, and customer-focused mindset
- 2 years of in-home sales experience in home services, construction, or a similar industry
- Proven ability to sell high-ticket services ($4k-$35k to homeowners)
- Strong attention to detail and professional reliability
- Ability to diagnose problems and generate clear, written estimates
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to quickly learn technical systems and processes
- Comfortable working independently and solving problems in the field
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling or estimating sewer repair, water lines, plumbing, drain, or underground services
- Experience as a field technician or installer
- Experience working with realtors, property managers, or homeowners' associations
- Experience in the construction, excavation, or home services
- Ability to review camera inspection footage and technical reports
- Experience using CRM systems and digital estimating software
Performance Expectations:
- Ability to independently diagnose issues and write estimates to customers within 2-3 weeks of training
- Complete 2-5 sewer repair consultations per day
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and estimate accuracy
- Manage follow ups and maintain an active sales pipeline
