What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Specialist position at Legend Bank?
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for assisting with designing, delivering, and evaluating employee training programs that support organizational goals and enhance workforce performance. This role involves working closely with the Training Director to manage training needs, develop effective instructional materials, and facilitate engaging learning experiences for employees across all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed using various instructional techniques and formats.
b. Plan, schedule, and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels.
c. Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes for compliance and reporting.
d. Organize training venues, equipment, and materials; manage relationships with external trainers and vendors when needed.
e. Assist with program development by collaborating with Training Director, department managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs.
f. Assist with maintaining procedure manuals and job aids, ensuring these resources are updated on the intranet as needed.
g. Assist with special projects related to employee engagement, retention, and training to support the development of the best possible workforce.
h. Assist with creating, implementing, and monitoring online learning programs.
i. Assist in supporting the sales and service culture of the organization through training initiatives, ongoing coaching, and branch contests.
j. Travel to branch locations and external venues as needed, which may include working outside regular business hours for special training events.
k. Serve as a support role to the Training Director and Chief Retail Officer as needed.
l. Perform other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least 1-2 years’ bank experience required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are required.
