What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Real Estate Loan Processor position at Legend Bank?
1. PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for facilitating the processing of commercial real estate loans including commercial loans for all locations of the Bank from origination to closing, funding, and booking on Bank system. The position also includes processing the releases of liens once the loan has been satisfied.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Receives loan request to process from lender and verifies approval from the appropriate entity (e.g., Chief Lending Officer; Loan Committee; Board of Directors)
b. Inputs loan data into the Loan Origination System (e.g. Sageworks) and assemble the file for review. Partners with Loan Officer and or loan assistants from origination to funding, including ordering wires.
c. Orders all required collateral support (title work, appraisals, flood, survey, UCC, etc) and serves as contact between the lender and third-party providers. Gathers information from the borrower as necessary.
d. Scans all documentation including closing documents into the Loan Document system.
e. Notifies lender of processing completion so closing can be arranged.
f. Orders / prepares closing documentation and sends to lender for review. g. Funds loan once all required documentation is received.
h. Performs basic accounting required to order wires, post transitions, and to process draws and modifications.
i. Prepares appropriate real estate loan releases.
j. Maintains Document Tracking System:
1) Monitors insurance documents
2) Monitors active exceptions.
3) Inputs collateral in Document Tracking System
3. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
a. EDUCATION:
High School education or equivalent with specialized training in loan documentation procedures required.
b. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
None.
. RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
One plus (1 ) years of mortgage or real estate loan processing experience.
Working knowledge of banking and lending regulations, policies and procedures.
Good organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer relation skills.
Detail oriented.
