Responsibilities
- 15 years of welding and fitting activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards
- Accurately assemble structural steel components
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding with precision and consistency - Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to fabricate steel parts
- Conduct measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
- Rigging, crane operations, pipe threading, and assembly processes to facilitate efficient workflow
- Maintain strict compliance with ASME codes & standards for structural welding and fabrication processes
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize welding techniques for quality results
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in structural steel fabrication and installation
- Extensive knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, welding, and plasma cutting
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical knowledge related to steel structures
- Familiarity with rigging operations, crane handling, pipe threading, and the use of hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Experience working with ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide teams safely through complex fabrication tasks
