Night shift Fitter/Welder

As a Fitter/Welder you will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment. Fabricate and assemble metal using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools according to specifications. You will repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Work in a safe manner at a high production rate

· Able to level and square parts while tacking into place

· Rigging and hosting with overhead crane

· Fix and rewire welding machines (wire rolls weigh 40lbs)

· Lift and hold 50lbs and be able to set it down gently

· Stand for 12 hours

· Able to work at heights

· Climb up and down equipment to fit parts or to weld parts sometimes one handed

· MIG weld: hard wire 90%, bare wire 10% this should be flux core 90% hard wire 10%

· Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Fit and weld assemblies together following blueprint specifications. Follow directions both from blueprints and verbal.

· Ability to use oxygen/acetylene and plasma hand torches to cut parts when required.

· Ability to work in tolerances specified on prints.

· Have drivers license and dependable transportation.

· Ability to work overtime when required.

· Own hand tools are required.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
