What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Specialist position at LEGACY TREATMENT SERVICES GROUP?
The Crisis Specialist interviews consumers, completes assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention. Outreaches as required. Answers a 24 hour hotline. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added at Director’s discretion.
Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property.
We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting. Our certified screeners and mental health professionals work together to stabilize the crisis and determine the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment option.
Hours:
Full Time; Available shifts include: Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday - Thursday 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. and Sunday - Thursday 7:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.
Rates & Benefits:
This position pays a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked 3:00 p.m. - 11:p.m. Monday - Friday and a $2.00 shift differential for all hours worked on Saturday, Sunday and all 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. shifts.
Base Pay Rate is 20.50 per hour plus one of the following, if applicable:
- Master's degree $1.00 per hour
- Master's degree and LAC or LSW $3.00 per hour
- Master's degree and LPC or LCSW $.50 per hour
- Temporary Screener Certification 1.00 per hour
- Full Screener Certification $2.00 per hour
- 5 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree 1.50 per hour
- 10 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree 3.00 per hour
- 15 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree 4.50 per hour

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Master’s Degree in a mental health field preferred. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field and two years of mental health experience required.
Your driver's license must be in good standing, with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 20 MPH, and no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
