Material Handler

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Material Handler role in Forest Grove, OR. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training or certification provided as needed).

• Ensure materials are delivered to production lines accurately and on time to support efficient operations.

• Perform inventory transactions, including receiving, labeling, and tracking materials to maintain accurate inventory records.

• Conduct visual inspections of materials and report any damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns.

• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper material placement according to company standards.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with company and OSHA guidelines.

• Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to meet daily operational goals.

• Accurately document material movements and complete required paperwork or system entries.

• Promptly report equipment issues, inventory shortages, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work swing shift, including evenings or weekends as needed.

• Forklift experience or certification is a plus, but training may be provided.
