Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Entry-Level Machinist role in Vancouver, WA. - Assist in the setup and operation of CNC Mills, Lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Load and unload materials and parts, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Monitor machine operations and report any issues or irregularities to supervisors or lead machinists.
- Follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to support production requirements.
- Perform basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part quality.
- Deburr, clean, and finish machined parts as required.
- Maintain consistent workflow while supporting operators and machinists on multiple machines.
- Accurately document production activity and report scrap or defects.
- Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to build machining skills.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or coursework in machining or manufacturing preferred.
- 0–1 year of machining or manufacturing experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply).
- Basic math skills, including working with measurements and decimals.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.
- Competitive hourly wage: $25 – $34 per hour (DOE) .
