Job Overview
This is a hands-on, ground-level position that will serve as a training path into equipment operation and site development. You will start by learning the fundamentals the right way. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants an opportunity — not just a job. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Hand tool work (shovel, rake, sledgehammer, hand tamper)
- Assisting with grading and base preparation
- Leveling stone and base for retaining walls and storm drainage
- Assisting with underground utility installation
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Jobsite cleanup and organization
- Basic equipment maintenance:
- Greasing machines
- Blowing out filters
- Checking fluids
- Assisting with inspections
Training & Growth Path ( in following areas)
- Reading a grade rod
- Understanding slope and elevation
- Jobsite layout basics
- Safe equipment operation practices
- Operating a roller
- Operating an off-road dump truck
- Basic understanding of equipment controls for loading and moving when needed
As you demonstrate work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail, responsibilities and machine time will increase. Company also offers an annual performance based bonus.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
