Duties
- Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours, tenant screening, and lease signing to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Support rent collection efforts, including data entry, payment processing, and follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and inspections, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining high standards of property upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; handle filing, data entry, and contract documentation with precision.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other relevant legal standards.
- Assist in resolving tenant conflicts through effective conflict management strategies and negotiation skills; uphold excellent customer service standards.
- Support administrative functions such as phone etiquette, filing systems, legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, and facilities management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with LIHTC programs and Section 8 housing is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal contracts related to leasing and property operations.
- Experience using OneSite or similar property management software; proficiency in data entry and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette; ability to upsell amenities or services when appropriate.
- Demonstrated conflict management and negotiation abilities to handle tenant concerns effectively while maintaining positive relationships.
- Office experience including filing, legal administrative tasks, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and facilities management is preferred.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; strong organizational skills are essential.
