Location: Sacramento, CA

Status: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

At Legacy Oaks of Sacramento, we know that great meals make a meaningful difference in our residents’ lives. We’re looking for a skilled and caring Cook to prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals that bring comfort, dignity, and satisfaction to our community.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and serve meals that meet menu plans, dietary needs, and resident preferences.

• Follow Title 22, health codes, and food safety standards (proper handling, storage, sanitation, infection control).

• Monitor inventory, report shortages, and maintain safe kitchen equipment.

• Work with the Culinary Director to accommodate special diets, allergies, and adaptive nutrition needs.

• Communicate respectfully with residents and staff to ensure a positive dining experience.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Prior cooking/food prep experience (senior living or healthcare a plus)

✅ Knowledge of safe kitchen operations and special diets

✅ Food Handler / ServSafe Certification required

✅ At least 18 years old

✅ TB clearance, health screening, fingerprinting & background check required

✅ Reliable, organized, and committed to resident-centered service
