Main Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Executive - HVAC Construction to lead and oversee large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for driving project success, ensuring financial performance, developing teams, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level oversight for multiple HVAC preconstruction and construction projects
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance (P&L responsibility)
- Business Development
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and business development efforts
- 8 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical construction
- Proven leadership experience managing large or complex projects
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts
- Deep understanding of construction processes, contracts, and delivery methods
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- Project Management – Preconstruction & Construction
- Provide detailed estimates & conduct job walks
- Business development

- Once a project is awarded for design, you are the manager of all costs until design is finished.
- Conduct a turnover meetings
- Create and maintain a design change log & establish a Basis of Design
- Meet weekly with in house engineering manager to determine progress and any deviation from originally designed systems
- Once design is finished, and all changes priced, provide a new updated scope letter per the finalized design
- Construction
- You are responsible for managing all aspects of your projects including financial performance & delivering it at the estimated cost:
- Once turned over from estimating, the PM owns the project
- Submittal procurement, approval & equipment release
- Field labor coordination
- Proper internal document control
- Booking documents for base contract and all change orders on proper forms
- Writing of purchase orders and subcontracts
- Permitting & design deliverables
- Tracking change orders
- Closely watching labor and material budgets to make sure projects are on track
- Populate billings prepared by accounting for all open projects
- Provide detailed estimates & conduct job walks
- Contact customers, schedule job walks & invite trade partners (both subs and vendors) to attend the walk when applicable for their scope. When in doubt, make sure your subs and vendors walk projects being estimated.
- Utilize on screen take off software to quantify material take offs
- Use Legacy approved estimating forms and proposal templates when preparing and proposing work to customers
- Schedule bid reviews to review with preconstruction manager/other PMs (depending on project size)
- Business Development
- Visit targeted customers on regular basis to establish working relationships
- Participate in sales projections for high probability projects
- Generate a minimum of $5M of new work annually
- Participate in training project engineers & recruiting events
- Financial Management
- Work with VP of Construction to develop and then commit to revenue goals per month.
- Participate in forecasting and drive results to achieve forecast
- Manage billings to stay cash positive on all projects
- Follow up on outstanding invoices to customers as well as pending bills from suppliers. Make sure all your costs are in as soon as possible
- Conduct post job analysis on projects that either underperform or overperform to determine key success factors and share finding with team
